Dear Diane,
I have been a big fan of yours for about 2 years now--which has coincided with a romantic fantasy novel I have been writing.
Several of your songs, especially from the Healing Spirit CD, have found their way into the story as the musical themes for most of the main female characters. The moods in your music just seemed to fit their personalities so well that I have actually renamed some of them (only to me, of course). For example, The Secret Garden turned into Alma's Theme (the romantic female lead of the story).
So when I wanted to write a love duet when she was reunited with her lover, I could think of nothing better than to write the lyrics to what I consider your most romantic song, Rainbow Canyon.
Please let me know if you will give me permission to list it in the Music Bibliography at the end of the book.
And if you're interested in arranging the words to your music, I could send a copy of the lyrics, along with their setting in the novel.
I will be trying to find a publisher for the work starting the beginning of 2010 (who knows how long it will actually take for it to be accepted somewhere). The name of the novel is "The Music of the Pleiades", and the song title is "To the Ends of Eternity."
I hope this gets to you. I couldn't figure out how to send a message to you from your My Space site, so this is the best I could do.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Keep up the good work.
